Windows 11 QEMU KVM on Raspberry PI5

WIN 11 on RPI5

Another possibility to use Windows on a Raspberry PI5 (64bit). The installation is easy, either by script (see link below) or with the Pi-Apps software. I am asked again and again why you should do this. Well, the answer is simple. I myself only use an iPad and iPhone 90% of the time. However, many amateur radio applications are not possible with these. That’s why I also use a PI5, which I control via VNC. Or I simply use the iPad as a monitor with an HDMI capture card. Almost every amateur radio software available can be used directly under Linux. Thanks to the 73Linux script from KM4ACK, installation is very easy. Unfortunately, there are also programs such as Winlink or VaraAC or Vara that do not run under Linux. Here wine helps to emulate Windows. With this solution there is now another, more performant possibility to use Windows as a virtual machine on the PI5. And even if you don’t think it makes sense, it’s fun to try it out.
